Okay so here's the deal :)
We picked a name for our kid, and decided not to give it away... and that was way too hard because we are just too excited. So we decided to give away 10 clues to lead you to the name. After 2 clues James Gardner (At Lindsey's work) got it, with a tank and MC Hammer. The 2nd person to get it right was Dolores with 4 clues (at Tyler's work) yet, neither one of them had posted anything on the blog. Tyler's mom had it at clue #8 (which I deleted, because we hadn't posted nearly all clues yet). And Lesli, Lindsey's sister had it at the final set of clues. Rumor has it too that Bracken (Linds Nephew) had it at clue #9. WAY TO GO EVERYBODY.
So the name came about...
One day I (Lindsey) had been thinking that I really wanted to share Tyler's background relation to his 8th great grandpa John Hancock with the baby's name, (since I love U.S. history). Well I figured that if we named the kid Hancock that for obvious reasons, the kid would be teased forever... So I thought that before I presented my thought for a name to Tyler that I should shorten it (since we couldn't seem to agree). Well we just love baseball and Hank Aaron has always been one of my allstar heroes, next to Lou Gehrig and Jackie Robinson.
So I figured that I would present Hank Aaron Labrum to Tyler as a name.
At first, Tyler didn't seem to like it and we had made a decision to name the baby something else. We walked into the ultrasound room with a boy and girl name in mind, it was a solid decision. When we came out of the ultrasound, Tyler and I looked at each other, thinking the same thing and Tyler said that he didn't really care to name this baby the name that we had both decided on. And at that point I said "What about Hank Aaron Labrum?" And Tyler said that "That's it." We both felt like that was what this baby was suppose to be called.
And that's the whole story!
Here are pictures of Hank's new room:
