Someone is always BIGGER than we are!

Big guns and little guns... and even BIGGER guns...

Easter is one of the best holidays ever, and not because of the Reeses peanut butter eggs (though I think everyone adores them), and not because of the Whopper eggs (which happen to be my favorite!)
Easter is an important holiday to share with our children the true meaning because to our faith, it is life and death. This last Sunday was Palm Sunday and in the days of Jesus Christ palm branches were laid before His donkey He rode on into town as the crowds shouted Hosanna, in the Highest. Days later Christ would share with His disciples the last Passover supper where He would say "eat this bread and drink this cup, do so in remembrance of me."
Today is Good Friday and it is SO good for the reason that Christ died for you and me, with a very brutal prolonged death on a cross... I just have to say that once more: "HE DIED FOR YOU." Have you ever had anyone jump in front of a bus for you, take a bullet for you, how about be tortured for you? HE did. It is something to be remembered.
And Christ says He took on the sins of all mankind, of all the world then and in the future so that we may ask to receive Him as our savior so that we can have Eternal Life.
Earlier in this post, I mentioned life and death. Life is eternal for every person, Death is also eternal for every person... but God says "choose Life." Hey, at least He gave us a choice.
(I hope you got that distiguishment between Life Eternal and Death Eternal -- Heaven and Hell)
HOPE CAME...
Not to be forgotten, Christ overcame Death.
He rose from the grave 3 days after His death on the cross.
Death was defeated. THAT'S WHAT WE CALL "THE BIGGER GUNS"
Remember "Choose Life He says."
Raising kids isn't easy... and I hope that as a family we will have fun with holidays but never get so carried away with the marketing perception that our kids don't know what it's all really about.
Easter's truth will be shared with our children every year - and not just once, but the whole year through.

MAN! Are we BLESSED or What?!?!
